What is a renovation?
Renovation refers to measures to renew and refresh rooms or buildings without making structural changes. Typical renovation work includes painting walls, replacing floor coverings, repairing minor damage and similar measures. The aim is to improve or maintain the existing condition without making fundamental changes to the fabric of the building.
Difference to"refurbishment":
Refurbishment, on the other hand, refers to comprehensive measures to restore or improve buildings, often taking structural aspects into account. Refurbishment work may be necessary to eliminate defects, stabilize the building fabric or increase energy efficiency. In contrast to renovation, refurbishment measures can involve far-reaching changes to the building fabric and are usually aimed at maintaining or increasing its value in the long term.
