What is modernization?

Modernization refers to comprehensive measures to improve buildings or apartments that go beyond mere maintenance. Renovation, on the other hand, refers to maintenance measures aimed at preserving existing substance without making fundamental structural changes. This usually includes work such as painting walls, replacing floor coverings or repairing minor damage. In contrast to modernization, renovation aims to maintain or refresh the original condition without significantly changing the overall appearance of the building.
